Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time position starting in October 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA to become a valued member of a supportive school community, helping pupils thrive both academically and personally while working alongside a committed team of educators.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will deliver interventions, lead learning activities, and provide targeted support to help pupils reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead learning activities and support high-quality classroom teaching.
- Deliver targeted one-to-one and small group interventions.
- Support pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Promote pupils' confidence, wellbeing, and personal development.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an HLTA qualification or has substantial experience in a similar role.
- Has previous experience working within a primary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Adopts a proactive, flexible, and nurturing approach.
- Is confident supporting pupils across a range of ages and abilities.
- Has a genuine passion for helping children succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
