Primary Teaching Assistant – October Start
St Ives | Start: October 2025 | Term-Time Only | ⏰ Full-Time | Competitive Pay
Are you looking for a new role this autumn supporting primary-aged learners?
A welcoming primary school in St Ives is seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with proven SEN and 1:1 experience to join their team from October 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored support to children while working as part of a caring and dedicated staff team.
Role Overview
-
Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (term-time only)
-
Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
-
Providing focused 1:1 SEN support and delivering interventions
-
Leading small group activities to aid learning and confidence
-
Supporting behaviour, classroom organisation, and routines
-
Working in partnership with the class teacher and SENDCo
Candidate Requirements
-
A minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
-
Previous experience working with SEN pupils
-
Proven 1:1 support experience in a school setting
-
Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning
-
Confident with literacy and numeracy
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
