Are you looking for a new role this autumn supporting primary-aged learners?
A welcoming primary school in St Ives is seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with proven SEN and 1:1 experience to join their team from October 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored support to children while working as part of a caring and dedicated staff team.

Role Overview

• Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (term-time only)

• Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

• Providing focused 1:1 SEN support and delivering interventions

• Leading small group activities to aid learning and confidence

• Supporting behaviour, classroom organisation, and routines

• Working in partnership with the class teacher and SENDCo

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

• Previous experience working with SEN pupils

• Proven 1:1 support experience in a school setting

• Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning

• Confident with literacy and numeracy

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
