Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive educational setting in Somerset. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities
- Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans and adapting resources to meet individual needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and social interaction
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children / yong people with SEN
- Strong communication skills, verbal and non-verbal
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
