Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel’s partner school in Taunton is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and help students thrive in a specialist learning environment.

Job Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
Hours: 8:45 am – 3:45 pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £90 - £100 per day (based on experience)

About the Role:
This rewarding role involves working with students aged 4–19 who have a range of special educational needs including Autism (ASC), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils develop their academic, social, and life skills in a nurturing environment.

Duties include:
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, structured lessons
• Supporting students with personalised learning and communication plans
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional regulation
• Aiding with behaviour management and sensory-based learning
• Promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive relationships

What We’re Looking For:
• Passion for supporting students with additional needs
• Experience in education, care, or SEN settings (preferred but not essential)
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
