Teaching Assistant
Manchester

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support our vibrant client school in the new academic year. Our client school is based in South Manchester, just a short drive from the city centre.

  • Full time TA role, commencing in the academic year 19/20
  • Supporting students across years 7-11 on a 1-1 basis and in small groups
  • Weekly payment of up to £300 per week
  • Introduction to a smaller than average, welcoming secondary school in South Manchester

The successful Teaching Assistant will join our client school in the new academic year and will be responsible for supporting teachers in all areas of school life. This will involve managing pupil behaviour and promoting positive behaviour, supporting in the classroom, helping prepare lesson activities and resources and delivering tailored teaching activities to pupils on either a one-to-one basis or in small groups.

Dependant on your experience, you may be required to help support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or pupils with other specific needs. If you have specific experience in supporting children with SEN, we encourage your application however this is not essential for this role.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in education and a passion for helping young people succeed. To apply for this role you must have experience working with children ideally aged 11-16 and must hold a C or above in GCSE English and Maths.

Our client school is located in south area of central Manchester and is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre. The school is a smaller than average mixed secondary school for students aged 11-16. The school has a brand new state-of-the-art building which has been designed to facilitate excellent teaching and learning. This is an exciting time to join our client school as it is has become a school of choice for the community with applications rising every year.
