Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a highly motivated TA to join a fantastic single form entry primary school based in Great Yarmouth. This is a maternity cover position starting in September but has the potential to turn into a full time position. This role will be based in KS1 but may require the candidate to work across various year groups.

The successful candidate will:

• Inspire and motivate children to enable them to achieve their full potential.
• Be committed to raising standards and supporting children to make the best possible progress.
• Care for the welfare of our children, supporting them both within the classroom and the wider school community.
• Work well as part of a team and as an individual, using their own initiative and expertise.
• Be a caring individual with a positive, creative and flexible attitude.

The ideal candidate will have

To have a record of outstanding classroom support and practice
To have experience supporting children to make progress in their learning
To have high expectations of behaviour and good classroom management strategies
Minimum Level 2 TA qualification (Qualified teachers and NQT's are also free to apply)
A DBS on the update service, or willing to gain one through Teaching Personnel
Recent and relevant experience of Teaching Assistant work within EYFS or Primary education
Ability to be flexible and adaptable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
