Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Year 4 | Primary School, Cheetham | April Start

A warm, inclusive, and supportive primary school in Cheetham is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to appoint a proactive, caring, and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break. This role will be based in a Year 4 classroom, supporting both the class teacher and pupils to ensure a positive and engaging learning experience.

About the Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Year 4, you will play a key part in maintaining a purposeful learning environment and helping pupils thrive academically and socially. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning, preparation, and activity delivery
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating Year 4 classroom
• Supporting pupils with diverse needs, including SEND and EAL learners
• Encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to effective classroom routines
• Building supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to promote progress and wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine passion for education
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable
