Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full-Time
Location: Wythenshawe
Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe, dedicated to supporting every child’s academic, emotional, and social development. The school is seeking a committed Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.
About the Role
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will help deliver engaging lessons, lead targeted interventions, and support pupils both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons alongside teaching staff
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
- Plan and deliver targeted intervention programmes, including for pupils with additional needs
- Assist with lesson planning, resource preparation, and classroom organisation
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Promote pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development
- Liaise with parents, staff, and external professionals where required
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers
About You
We are looking for a proactive and nurturing individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning.
You will:
- Hold an HLTA qualification or have significant experience in a similar role
- Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and classroom practice
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be flexible, reliable, and able to use your initiative
- Have a clear commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
