The school is seeking a committed Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

About the Role

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will help deliver engaging lessons, lead targeted interventions, and support pupils both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons alongside teaching staff
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
• Plan and deliver targeted intervention programmes, including for pupils with additional needs
• Assist with lesson planning, resource preparation, and classroom organisation
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Promote pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development
• Liaise with parents, staff, and external professionals where required
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers

About You

We are looking for a proactive and nurturing individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning.

You will:

• Hold an HLTA qualification or have significant experience in a similar role
• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and classroom practice
• Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Be flexible, reliable, and able to use your initiative
• Have a clear commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing
