We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join this welcoming school community from September. The Role

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will help deliver high-quality lessons, lead targeted interventions, and provide tailored support to ensure all pupils can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging and effective lessons
• Leading 1:1 and small-group interventions to accelerate pupil progress
• Providing additional support for pupils with varying learning needs
• Preparing and organising classroom resources and learning materials
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Encouraging pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback where required

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified HLTA or an experienced teaching assistant with relevant qualifications
• Experienced within a primary school setting
• Knowledgeable about child development and effective teaching and learning strategies
• A confident communicator with strong organisational skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young learners
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
