Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Moston to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time role starting in October 2026.

The Role

As an HLTA, you will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the school, lead targeted interventions, and help pupils develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of high-quality lessons across the primary age range.
• Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to accelerate pupil progress.
• Provide tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs.
• Prepare classroom resources and learning materials to support teaching and learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement in lessons.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Hold an HLTA qualification or have relevant experience in a similar role.
• Have experience working within a primary school setting.
• Be confident supporting pupils across a range of abilities and year groups.
• Possess strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about helping children succeed.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
