The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers and support staff, you will help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally while encouraging confidence and independence in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and within whole-class settings.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
• Support children with SEND and additional learning needs, adapting strategies to meet individual requirements.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil engagement throughout the school day.
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where all children can succeed.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff to support ongoing development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents, and carers.
• Contribute to the wider school community and support school events and activities when required.

About You

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

The successful candidate will have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine commitment to helping children achieve their full potential.
