Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a progressive, inclusive primary school in Sale that is committed to nurturing every child’s academic, social, and emotional development. The school provides a warm, engaging learning environment, supported by a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

They are now seeking an experienced, motivated HLTA to join their staff from February and play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

‍ The Role

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to enhance the quality of education across a range of subjects. You’ll contribute to lesson delivery, lead small-group activities, and provide tailored support to individual pupils—helping to create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of engaging, high-quality lessons
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support
• Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour
• Offer pastoral and emotional support with kindness and empathy
• Prepare resources and track pupil progress
• Deliver interventions for pupils with additional learning needs
• Build strong working relationships with staff, parents, and carers

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in an HLTA or similar TA role
• A proactive, caring, and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence in delivering learning activities and supporting diverse needs
• HLTA qualification or relevant experience (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
