Year 1 Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young learners? We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Orrell who are looking to appoint a committed Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a nurturing Key Stage 1 environment, supporting pupils at a crucial stage in their early education journey.

The Role:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Assisting with phonics, early reading, writing, and numeracy development
• Providing additional support for pupils with varying needs, including SEND where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working within a KS1 setting (Year 1 experience desirable)
• Strong understanding of early learning strategies, including phonics
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
