Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Moston to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a September start.

The Role

As an HLTA, you will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the school, lead targeted interventions, and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the planning and delivery of high-quality lessons
• Leading small-group and 1:1 interventions to boost pupil progress
• Providing tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Preparing classroom resources and learning materials
• Promoting positive behaviour and pupil engagement
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to staff

About You

The successful candidate will:

✔ Hold an HLTA qualification or have relevant experience within a similar role

✔ Have experience working within a primary school setting

✔ Be confident supporting pupils across a range of abilities

✔ Have strong communication and organisational skills

✔ Be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about education

✔ Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
