About the Opportunity
Teaching Personnel is working alongside a friendly and inclusive primary school in Firswood to appoint a Teaching Assistant for the new academic year. This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where every child is encouraged to succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll support the classroom teacher and help create a positive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
- Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and making a difference in the classroom.
You’ll likely be:
- Experienced in working with children (primary setting preferred)
- Positive, proactive, and reliable
- A strong communicator and team player
- Patient, caring, and adaptable
- Qualified as a Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
