Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Primary School (Firswood)
Location: Firswood
Start Date: September
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Firswood is partnering with Teaching Personnel to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support high-quality teaching and learning. You’ll play a vital role in creating a positive, engaging classroom environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to reach their full potential—both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Assisting with the planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging lessons
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEND and EAL
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting effective classroom management
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
About You
- Experience working with children (primary school experience desirable)
- A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing nature
- A Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
