Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Primary School in Firswood
Location: Firswood
Start Date: March
A warm and inclusive primary school in Firswood is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to appoint a caring, proactive, and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from March.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside the class teacher to support high‑quality learning and contribute to a positive, engaging classroom environment. You’ll play an essential role in helping pupils achieve their potential through both academic and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support
- Assisting in the planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging lessons
- Helping maintain an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting children with a variety of needs, including SEND and EAL
- Encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to effective classroom management
- Building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and passion for education
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
- A relevant TA qualification (beneficial but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
