A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Firswood is partnering with Teaching Personnel to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support high-quality teaching and learning. You’ll play a vital role in creating a positive, engaging classroom environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to reach their full potential—both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Assisting with the planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging lessons
• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEND and EAL
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting effective classroom management
• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

About You

• Experience working with children (primary school experience desirable)
• A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing nature
• A Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial, but not essential
