Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Moston | April Start
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Moston is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to recruit a caring, proactive, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from April. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a nurturing school environment.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and helping pupils reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support across the curriculum
- Assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND and EAL
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining classroom routines
- Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Contributing to the wider school community and taking part in school events where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to making a positive impact on children’s education. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working with children, preferably within a primary school setting
- A nurturing, positive attitude and a genuine passion for education
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to varied learning styles
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred but not essential)
- Confidence supporting children with additional needs and using strategies to enhance learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
