A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Altrincham is looking to appoint a dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and making a real impact in the classroom.

Your Role

Working alongside the class teacher, you will:

• Support teaching and learning across a Year 5 class
• Deliver targeted support through 1:1 and small group interventions
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and engagement
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND or EAL needs
• Contribute to classroom organisation and behaviour management

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with primary-aged children (school-based preferred)
• A positive, proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for education
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing mindset
• Relevant TA qualification (desirable, not essential)
