Location: Weymouth, Dorset

Contract Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a mainstream primary school in Weymouth that is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their SEN support team on a full-time basis.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs within a mainstream setting
• Working closely with the school’s SEN team and class teachers
• Providing 1:1 and small group support as required
• Helping pupils to access learning and develop independence
• Monday to Friday role with consistency and routine

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous SEN experience preferred (education, care or support settings)
• Patient, nurturing and proactive approach
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• DBS on the Update Service preferred, or willing to apply through Teaching Personnel
• Able to commute to Weymouth reliably
