1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Contract: Ongoing
Hours: Mornings only (with opportunities to cover afternoons)
Start Date: By agreement
Are you a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a flexible role where you can make a real difference?
We are delighted to be working with a welcoming and supportive school in Wimborne who are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for a pupil who requires additional help with their learning and development. This is an ongoing role, offering stability alongside flexibility.
The position is mornings only, making it ideal for someone seeking part-time work, with the opportunity to cover afternoons when required or desired.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs
- Support learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing
- Help the pupil access the curriculum in a positive and inclusive way
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have SEN experience (preferable, though not essential)
- Be patient, nurturing and calm in their approach
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be reliable, flexible and committed
- Be passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
