1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (KS2)
Location: Near Beaminster, Dorset
Contract: Full-time – Monday to Friday
Start Date: By agreement
DBS: Update Service preferable
Travel: Driving licence or reliable commute preferable

We are pleased to be working with a welcoming and inclusive school near Beaminster who are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS2 pupil. This is a rewarding full-time role where you will play a vital part in supporting a child’s learning, confidence and wellbeing.
The school provides a nurturing environment and values inclusive practice, teamwork and strong relationships.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with SEN
- Support learning across the curriculum, adapting tasks to suit individual needs
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation
- Promote independence, confidence and resilience
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN (desirable, not essential)
- Be patient, calm and nurturing in their approach
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service (preferable)
- Be able to drive or commute reliably to the school (preferable)
- Be reliable, committed and able to work Monday to Friday
- Be passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
