SEN Teaching Assistant – Make a Real Difference Every Day
Job Type: Full-time | Monday to Friday | Term time only
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary by up to 45 minutes)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Northampton as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with special educational needs in a nurturing, team-focused environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist during classroom lessons and break/lunchtime activities
- Support the class teacher with learning activities and classroom management
- Help maintain a tidy, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience in a school is not essential — we welcome individuals from all backgrounds who have the right attitude and passion for working with children.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not required)
- Be caring, patient, and reliable
- Show initiative and be confident getting involved (essential)
- Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Have permanent UK residency (required)

- Two recent references covering the past 24 months
- Overseas Police Check (if applicable – for those who’ve lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last 5 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
