We are looking for flexible staff to work as Teaching Assistants throughout the academic year, at a Primary SEN specialist school in the Trafford area.
The School

The students study an adapted and varied curriculum which is heavily focused on functional and life skills, promoting confidence, maturity and independence.
The needs of the students vary from mild, moderate to severe learning and physical difficulties, predominantly Autism Spectrum Condition.
The Role
Your role as Teaching Assistant begins at 8.30am, and you will support an assigned student throughout their school day until 3.30pm.
In the classroom you will ensure they are interacting and socialising appropriately, understand the work or activity and their behaviour is appropriate for the environment.
Having a knowledge of Autism Spectrum Condition (or general SEN) would be ideal to help you understand the needs and behaviours of the students you work with. Any experience in education or childcare is also welcome.
Your attitude needs to be enthusiastic and non-judgemental, with a passion for care and supporting children's development. You will need to be patient and calming, but also conscientious as attention to detail is key for the well-being of the students.
Please be aware all applicants MUST have a child only workforce DBS, which is registered to the update system or be willing to apply for one.
