Supply Teacher
A general cover supply teacher is needed by Teaching Personnel to cover a range of lessons in a number of South Manchester based Secondary Schools. We are ideally looking for somebody with QTS (in any subject) who is looking to gain additional experience of working within schools to make additional contacts.
As a supply Teacher you will be going into schools to cover a range of subjects whenever a permanent member of staff is out sick. We have a range of role to offer, including short-term general cover roles, and longer term subject specific roles for absences such as maternity leaves or jury duty.
You will go into the classroom and lead pre-prepared lessons and ensure that behaviour is maintained within the lesson. For longer term roles you will be expected to do some planning and marking of work if it is in your specialist subject. Depending on the length of role and the different responsibilities involved within each role (i.e. planning/marking/assessments), will dictate the rate of pay, detailed below.
- Pay – short term daily supply with no planning/marking: £120 - £130 per day
- Pay – longer term role with planning and marking: £130 - £190 per day depending on experience and responsabilities.
- Variety of roles on offer in Secondary School across South Manchester
- Part-time and full-time depending on your availability
- Excellent opportunity to build experience within the education sector and to gain professional contacts within schools
This would be a great opportunity for ECT’s who are perhaps looking to gain an insight into how different schools are run before deciding on what school to accept a permanent role at. It would also be a good opportunity for experienced teachers who are looking for work with less responsibility involved and more flexibility. Should you wish to apply then please attach your most recent CV as a file below in order to be considered.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
