Supply Teacher

Supply Teacher – Trafford, Greater Manchester Area

A supply teacher role in the Trafford area of Manchester has become available with a start date of as soon as possible after the half term break. The candidate would be required to work in a range of Secondary schools within the area south Manchester and will have availability to work five days a week, Monday – Friday (or as free as possible). It is not essential to have access to a vehicle, but it would be helpful. All schools within the area are accessible by public transport (bus or tram). Both part time and full time positions available.

Some requirements for the role are as follows:

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status.
• Live in (or within traveling distance) of Trafford area.

It is not essential to have finished your NQT/ECT year/s to apply, however all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be confident within a classroom setting of secondary school age children and will have strong behaviour management skills as well as competent literacy and numeracy skills. The role involves general supply cover of class teachers in various subjects who are absent for varying amounts of time.

Supply work ranges from day-to-day cover to longer term placements with the opportunity of going from temporary to permanent. Subject specialist trained teachers are encouraged as this can be advantageous if a school requires a specific subject to be covered. Cover work will be provided by class teachers each day but the ability to deliver said work to a high standard is desirable. Roles in which additional planning is required will pay more and this can be negotiated on a job by job basis.

• Pay ranges from £110-£120 per day depending on experience and expectations of role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
