Fully Qualified Supply Teachers Required – Bury Secondary Schools
We are currently seeking to recruit Fully Qualified Teachers (UK QTS) to support a range of secondary schools across the Bury area from September 2026.
These opportunities are ideal for teachers seeking flexible supply work as well as those interested in securing long-term or full-time placements.
The Role
Successful candidates will deliver high-quality teaching across a variety of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of permanent staff or as part of longer-term assignments. Roles are available on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum (for long-term roles)
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining classroom continuity (for daily supply)
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
- Assessing and reporting on student progress where required
- Contributing positively to the wider school environment
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- Previous experience teaching within secondary education
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A professional, adaptable, and flexible approach
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
For general supply roles, candidate will be paid £120-£160 per day and for full time roles which include planning and marking, candidates will be paid to the correct scale point.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
