Job description

-          Full-time History teacher, required to start September 2026.

-          Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE

-          Must hold subject specific qualifications within History

-          Both experienced and newly qualified History teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.

-          Pay in line with teaching scale point (M1 – UPS3)

The successful History teacher will be expected to;

-          Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for History

-          Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated History lessons to meet the needs of individual learners at various levels of learning.

-          Assess and evaluate class work reporting back to senior teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives.

-          Promote positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Our partner secondary school is looking for a History teacher who can aid challenging pupils’ attainment alongside providing behaviour management interventions.

Our client school is located in Bolton and can be accessed via the A580, M62 and M6 from surrounding areas such as Wigan, Salford and Bury. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas of Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
