Job description

We’re working closely with a number of well-established secondary schools across Oldham that are looking to appoint passionate and committed Maths Teachers for a range of opportunities. Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or an ambitious ECT, there are full-time, part-time, and permanent teaching roles available with immediate starts as well as positions commencing in September. These schools are known for their supportive leadership, strong behaviour policies, and genuine commitment to staff development, making them excellent environments for teachers looking to thrive in their careers.

The successful Maths Teacher will be delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will be confident in planning and delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum, tracking pupil progress, and adapting your teaching style to meet a variety of learning needs. Schools are looking for teachers who can bring energy into the classroom, build strong relationships with students, and contribute positively to the wider school community.

These roles offer flexibility to suit different circumstances, whether you are seeking long-term stability in a permanent position or a more flexible working pattern through part-time or temporary arrangements. There is also the opportunity to secure a role in advance for September, allowing you to plan ahead and find the right fit for your career goals. Daily rates and salaries are competitive and reflective of experience, with opportunities for progression within permanent posts.

To be considered, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, alongside a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject. You should have recent experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting in the UK and a strong understanding of the current curriculum. A proactive approach, strong classroom management skills, and a genuine passion for education are essential for success in these roles.

This is an excellent opportunity for Maths Teachers looking for teaching jobs in Oldham, secondary teaching roles, KS3 and KS4 Maths jobs, or permanent and part-time teaching positions starting now or in September. If you’re ready to take the next step in your teaching career or secure a new role in a supportive school environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today to be considered for immediate interviews and to discuss the range of Maths teaching vacancies currently available across Oldham and the surrounding areas.
