Are you looking for new challenge from September 2018?
Are you a qualified teacher who is wanting to secure a full time teaching role from September?
Do you hold QTS and have experience working with the National Curriculum at KS2?
Teaching Personnel may have the perfect role for you
Please read the following and let me know if you would like to apply for the position…
The School
The School is located in the market town of Haslingden with easy commutes from the M65 and the Bus Station and Train Station. The children who attend School are mostly from lower middle class backgrounds. Behaviour in School is GOOD and the Head teacher is keen to appoint practitioners who can uphold the behaviour strategies already implemented in school. The School's local catchment consists of 50% White British and 50% of Asian descent. It is therefore important that the applying candidate has had experience of working alongside children with differing backgrounds and languages.
The Head teacher
The Head teacher in School has been in post for over 5 years now and has a settled Senior Leadership and Middle Management Team. The turnover of staff is low due to the approachability of the SLT and with this there is plenty of support opportunities available to new staff in school and Newly Qualified Teachers. The Head teacher will regularly check planning and observe lesson content and offer good reflective feedback and areas to work on to ensure her School is still moving in the right direction to gaining 'Outstanding' status.
The Recent Ofsted Report
The recent Ofsted report available online is from 2016. This report specifies the hard work in which the Head Teacher and her staff have invested into the children in School and the progress they have made. The current Ofsted grading is 'Good' and the School are looking to build on this and gain 'Outstanding' status in their next. The notable areas of the report, specify that the School ensure all the children make better than expected progress and the level of teaching and learning is 'Good'. The behaviour management strategies used across School are consistent and ensure not only children with challenging behaviour are given the best opportunities to succeed but also the children with special educational needs.
The Role
The role is a five day a week position which will start from the first week in September. It will continue on a full time basis until Easter covering a maternity. The expectation is that the teacher will take 9-12 months off. During this time you will be expected to contribute to the full working role of a teacher in School. You will be a class teacher in a KS2 class and work alongside a team of KS2 teachers as a department; planning for and delivering the Curriculum to a good standard. You will be expected to attend parents evening and contribute in School INSETS and staff meetings. You will also be expected to report to the KS2 Phase Leader to discuss progress of your children and your next steps with certain children. This Phase Leader meeting will take place every half term.
The Application Process
To apply for this role you must hold Qualified Teacher Status or be in the process of gaining this. You must be committed to the entire role on a temporary supply basis. The daily rate is negotiable but is expected to be between £90-140 per day.
