The school have specified that it would be preferable for the applying candidates to have at least an academic year's experience supporting children with Autism or associated needs. They have also noted that they would like an individual who can work with PECs cards and have a basic understanding of MAKATON.

This role will require you to work on a flexible basis with the pupil to build positive, professional relationships and help him overcome barriers to his learning and engagement. Ideally you will have experience of supporting children with Autism, behavioural and emotional needs.
