SEND Classroom Roles
Job description
SEND & SEMH Education Opportunities Across East Sussex
I'm a Recruitment Consultant with a background in SEND education, working closely with specialist schools across East Sussex, and I'm currently looking to connect with quality educators who are open to new opportunities.
One thing I've learned from both working within SEND and recruiting for it is that no two schools are the same.
Some settings support pupils with complex learning and communication needs. Others focus heavily on SEMH, behaviour and engagement. Some are highly structured environments, whilst others take a more therapeutic approach.
That's why I don't simply try to fill vacancies. My aim is to understand what you're looking for and help match you to a setting where you can genuinely thrive.
What Opportunities Could Look Like
Depending on your experience, interests and availability, opportunities may include:
- SEND and SEMH teaching roles
- Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant positions
- 1:1 support roles
- Behaviour and engagement support
- Classroom and intervention support
- Day-to-day, long-term and ongoing placements
- Primary and secondary specialist settings
Whether you're looking for stability or flexibility, there are opportunities available.
Who This Will Suit
Many of the schools I work with tell me they're looking for people who:
- Build positive relationships naturally
- Remain calm under pressure
- Are reliable and professional
- Understand the importance of consistency
- Want to make a genuine difference
SEND experience is welcomed, but it isn't everything. I've worked with fantastic educators from backgrounds including care, youth work, coaching, support work and mainstream education.
Practical Information
- Opportunities across East Sussex
- Immediate and September starts available
- Teaching roles paid to scale
- TA / LSA roles paid at £92.60 per day
- Child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service required
If you don't currently hold one, you'll need to apply through us. Support is provided throughout the process, though the cost is covered by the applicant.
As part of safeguarding requirements, we'll also require references covering a total of 24 months employment history where possible, alongside a full employment and education history.
Interested?
Apply today and let's have a conversation about what opportunities might be right for you.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
