SEND & SEMH Teaching & Support Opportunities – East Sussex
SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex are continuing to recruit educators who bring patience, professionalism and a genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs.
These roles span both primary and secondary settings and vary from classroom teaching to 1:1 and small-group support. While each school is different, they all require adults who are dependable, emotionally aware and willing to work as part of a team.
We are seeking both qualified teachers and classroom-based support staff who are interested in purposeful work within SEND and SEMH environments.

Long-term and ongoing placements
Some roles are more structured and behaviour-led. Others focus more heavily on nurture and engagement. Matching you to the right setting is key.

Previous SEND experience is welcome but not mandatory. Strong mainstream educators and support staff with the right mindset are encouraged to apply.

Teaching roles paid to scale; TA and LSA roles paid at £89.38 per day

A child-only DBS certificate is required. If you do not hold one, you will be required to apply and pay for a DBS and place it on the Update Service. Guidance is provided throughout.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
