Teaching assistant – Enfield

We are seeking a nurturing teaching assistant to support a KS3 class of pupils with severe learning difficulties for an ‘outstanding’ special school in Enfield.  Majority of pupils in class have physical disabilities, are wheel chair bound and require multi sensory support for their educational development. For this role you will need to have previous experience supporting with special needs, applications are welcome from care assistants and support workers with transferable skills. You will be required to deliver a mix of 1:1 and group support so it will be essential to be flexible to support the needs of pupil’s special educational needs. The successful teaching assistant will be pro active, have moving and handling training and be able to support with intimate care. Dependant upon performance there will be the potential to secure a permanent contract and have access to outstanding internal training!

SEN Teaching assistant:

  • Must have previous experience supporting with special needs
  • Moving and handling training  is mandatory in securing role
  • Able to support with toileting needs
  • Monday to Friday - Term time - 8.30-3.30
  • Able to commit to travelling to Enfield daily
  • March start

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
