Teaching Assistant - SEN Support 

Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in North Liverpool, Bootle, L30 who is seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to work in their Year 4 class 1-1 with a pupil with special educational needs. The pupil has diagnosed autism and requires support with his concentration and behavioural management throughout the day. You will be responsible for prepping pupils work, running interventions and 1-1 booster sessions and supporting the pupil's wellbeing and emotional support. Previous experience supporting children or adults with similar needs would be ideal but not essential. 

The role is 5 days per week, Mon - Fri. Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm. This role is due to start from September 2022. There is possibly a permanent contract available for the right person. 

The Role:

  • Full time, Monday - Friday
  • Hours approximately 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Primary School 
  • £10.77 - £13 per hour 
  • Liverpool, Bootle area

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support within the classroom wherever required
  • Delivering activities on one-to-one or small group basis
  • Ensuring children are engaged
  • Adapting to every individual pupil’s needs
  • Helping with behaviour management of children
  • Creating displays of children’s work 
  • Creating assessments and providing feedback
  • Communicating with parents and carers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
