Exciting Opportunity: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant with Focus on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)

A thrilling opportunity awaits for a compassionate and adept Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant, specializing in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), to join a delightful Primary School in Kensington (L7). This is a long-term role starting immediately and extending throughout the academic year. The school seeks a dedicated support staff member to offer personalized assistance to a reception class student who is part of the new school intake, requiring both academic and social support.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience working with SEN students and a solid understanding of effective de-escalation techniques. Given that the specific child follows an individualized education plan tailored to their SEMH needs, the school places significant emphasis on prior experience in providing regular updates and progress reports.

Operating from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, this position offers the added advantage of being part of a highly esteemed school community. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
