Location: Garston

Working Hours:

  • Hours: 30 hours per week, spread across 5 days.
  • Working Time: 8.45am – 3.15pm.

Pay Rate:

  • Hourly Rate: £12.90 per hour.

Job Description:

Are you a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in a reputable Primary School? We have a full-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role available in Garston (L19). This temporary position, covering a staff absence, will run until the end of the academic year. The school holds a high regard for the SENCO and Headteacher, earning praise from staff, parents, and children alike.

About the Role:

In this rewarding role, you will be working closely with a bright child with a hearing impairment, who effectively uses a Cochlear implant. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their dynamism and intellect in differentiating lessons to suit the child's specific needs. Described as a happy and eager learner, the child thrives in the school environment. Your role will be pivotal in providing additional support to help her reach her full potential and equip her with the necessary tools for success. While experience in BSL and/or Makaton is advantageous, it is not essential. However, prior experience in a school setting is essential, and a childcare or Health and Social Care qualification is also required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
