Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
I am recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a full time position at a Secondary School located in Bridlington. This is a temporary post to start in September 2020 until the end of the academic year (August 2021), with the view of becoming permanent for the right member of staff. Due to a specific request for support staff to work alongside pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), I am recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a full time position at a good Secondary School located in Bridlington.
This role will consist in supporting a pupil in year 7 with specific physical medical needs: you will be required to undertake personal care duties, as well as follow the pupil around the school to attend their classes, and support them during their daily physiotherapy session. This SEN Teaching Assistant role will only require physical support, as the SEN requirement does not involve cognitive challenges.
This role requires a caring SEN Teaching Assistant who has an interest working within key stage 3 (year 7) and a good Secondary School. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have experience working with SEN and be trained in Moving and Handling. Ideally, you will also be trained in First Aid (training can be provided).
The hours of work will be between 8.15am and 2.45pm, Monday to Friday, during term time. The rate of pay will vary between GBP10-GBP13 per hour depending on your experience. Wages are paid by Teaching Personnel on a weekly basis via PAYE during the qualifying period, after which you will be paid directly by the school (more details given during the recruitment process).
If you are interested and would like to know more about this role, please do not hesitate to contact Elisa Stokes in branch. Alternatively, please apply by following the link on this page and uploading your CV. If you do not have a current CV, please call in branch to speak to Eli.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
