SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Wiltshire.
This is a full-time role with an immediate start, supporting pupils aged 10–17 years across both primary and secondary phases.
About the Role
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Wiltshire
- Hours: 8.30am – 3.15pm, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential for permanent opportunities
- Start Date: Immediate
You will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including SEN and ASD. Your role will involve working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEN and ASD in classroom and one-to-one settings.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning experiences.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.
- Encourage independence and confidence in pupils through personalised support.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic development.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in childcare or education, ideally supporting children with SEN needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning and behaviour support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A genuine passion for helping learners achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
