SEN Teaching Assistants – Opportunities via Teaching Personnel

If you answered yes, then this job opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant at a specialised Primary School in Salisbury may be for you!

 

The Role:

You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing the best support possible to students ranging in the ages 7-11 years old, with various Special Educational Needs such as:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Associated learning difficulties and/or low attainment often linked to SEMH challenges
  • Behavioural and emotional difficulties

This school is an independent special school for primary-aged children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and present with a range of complex needs as listed above.

They focus on a broad and balanced curriculum that can be tailored to individual needs, with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and real-world learning, along with the support of amazing therapeutic facilities and spaces designed for emotional regulation and well-being.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

  • SEN(D) and SEMH experience
  • A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting children
  • Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
  • Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies

 

Working Hours/Benefits:ouHo

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
