Job description

Are you passionate about helping young people reach their potential? Do you have the empathy, resilience and creativity to support pupils with additional needs?

We are seeking a committed and caring Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will be working at a residential special school for boys aged 8–19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, often alongside other learning difficulties such as autism, ADHD, or speech, language and communication challenges. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing and structured environment where every pupil can develop confidence, resilience and the skills they need to succeed in life.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs

  • Is patient, compassionate and able to build positive relationships

  • Can work effectively as part of a supportive and skilled team

  • Brings energy, commitment and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive

  • Demonstrates flexibility and a calm, professional approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
