SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Poole | Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking specialist school in Poole.

This full-time position offers the chance to support children and young people aged 2 to 19 with a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication difficulties, and sensory disabilities.

 

About the Role
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5.00pm, with an immediate start available.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside skilled teachers and therapists to provide personalised learning and care to students across both primary and secondary phases.

You will play a key role in helping pupils develop communication, independence, and confidence while ensuring they feel safe, supported, and valued every day.

Requirements
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual with a genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience
• Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD or sensory needs
• Patience, adaptability, and a caring attitude
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and positive learning experiences

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
