Supply 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Sheffield (S4, S5, S6, S35)

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Contract Type: Supply / Temporary / Full-time or Part-time
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for rewarding 1:1 support work in Sheffield? Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work with pupils across the S4, S5, S6 and S35 areas, supporting children with additional learning needs in primary schools.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social and emotional needs

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Support the child in accessing the curriculum and developing confidence and independence

  • Help manage behaviour positively and promote engagement in learning

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage progress and wellbeing

About You:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting (school, nursery, or alternative provision)

  • Ideally have experience supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis

  • A positive, patient and empathetic approach to supporting young learners

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
