An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary setting in Poole.

This full-time role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children aged 5 to 12 with additional needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

 

About the Role and the School
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8.45am to 3.30pm, with an immediate start available.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and support staff to deliver engaging, structured learning tailored to individual needs. You will provide both academic and emotional support, helping pupils build confidence, develop communication skills, and achieve their personal goals in a nurturing and positive classroom environment.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience
• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly MLD or ASD
• A calm, caring, and adaptable approach to learning support
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
