Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a range of mainstream and specialist schools across Poole


The Role

As a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties.

  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment.

  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.

  • Foster students’ confidence, independence, and social development.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure each pupil reaches their potential.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
✅ Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (essential)
✅ Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
✅ A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
