Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary:

£80 - £90 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN
  • Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with personal care needs of students, if required

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Education:

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience:

Previous experience working in a school or educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of special educational needs and how to support students effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Training in behaviour management strategies

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours may vary but expected to work full-time hours
  • Work primarily within a school setting
  • May involve providing support to students with diverse and complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
