Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: South East England, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN students
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require extra help in the classroom
  • Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEN students
  • Collaborating with other staff members and parents to support the overall development of students with SEN

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Experience in a classroom setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning styles and needs of students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher-level Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Additional training in supporting students with specific SEN requirements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
