Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary:

£80 - £90 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assisting students with their learning, including one-to-one support where necessary
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participating in team meetings to discuss student progress and development
  • Providing feedback to teachers on student performance and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Education:

Relevant educational qualifications in teaching or support work

Experience:

Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN strategies and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN support
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Working in a classroom setting with students with SEN
  • Regular interaction with teachers, parents, and other support staff
  • Potential for personal care duties depending on student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
