Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:

Supporting the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Assisting students with their learning, including one-to-one support where necessary
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Participating in team meetings to discuss student progress and development
Providing feedback to teachers on student performance and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Education:

Relevant educational qualifications in teaching or support work

Experience:

Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of SEN strategies and best practises
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in SEN support
First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

Working in a classroom setting with students with SEN
Regular interaction with teachers, parents, and other support staff
Potential for personal care duties depending on student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
