SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS7

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for children
  • Help pupils with learning activities and ensure their safety and well-being
  • Support students in developing social and communication skills
  • Work closely with other staff members and parents to provide the best possible support for children

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN and different learning needs
  • Ability to provide individualised support to students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
