Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Irlam (September 2026 Start)
Location: Irlam
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Start Date: September
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming, inclusive primary school in Irlam to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference, providing one-to-one and small‑group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs in a nurturing, child‑centred environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated activities
- Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Create and promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
- Observe progress, record key developments, and adapt support where needed
What We’re Looking For
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their best
- A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
