Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Irlam (September 2026 Start)

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming, inclusive primary school in Irlam to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference, providing one-to-one and small‑group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs in a nurturing, child‑centred environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated activities
• Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Create and promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
• Observe progress, record key developments, and adapt support where needed

What We’re Looking For

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their best
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)
