Salary: £84–£95 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated, patient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of Secondary schools and Alternative provisions throughout Carmarthenshire. These roles involve supporting pupils with a variety of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language difficulties, complex learning needs and physical disabilities.

The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Assist with personalised learning plans and differentiated activities.
- Help pupils regulate emotions and behaviour using positive behaviour‑support strategies.
- Work closely with SENCOs, teachers and external professionals.
- Support with communication, sensory needs and emotional development.
- Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and progress monitoring.
We Are Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN pupils (school, care, youth work, childcare, support work, etc.).
- A calm, resilient and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Flexibility and the willingness to adapt to changing needs.
- Ability to use your initiative and work as part of a supportive team.
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Team Teach or behaviour‑support training is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
