Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Swansea & Carmarthenshire
Pay: £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of mainstream secondary schools and alternative provisions in Swansea and Carmarthenshire.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN/ALN) and helping them engage in education, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
Role Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs

Support students with emotional, behavioural, and learning challenges

Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in lessons
Requirements
-
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
-
EWC registration (or willingness to register)
-
Previous experience in a school, care, youth work, or support setting
-
A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
